Enipeas Gorge Hiking Experience

From Prionia to Bountolas Mountain Refuge

Following the Footsteps of Saint Dionysios on Mount Olympus

Embark on a remarkable hiking journey through the legendary landscapes of Mount Olympus, where untouched wilderness, mountain spirituality, and authentic nature experiences come together in one unforgettable adventure.

Our experience begins at Prionia, the highest point of Mount Olympus accessible by vehicle, surrounded by dense forests, crystal-clear mountain streams, and the refreshing atmosphere of Greece's most mythical mountain.

From here, we follow the enchanting trails of the Enipeas Gorge, walking through lush forests, crossing wooden bridges, and discovering hidden corners shaped by the untamed beauty of Olympus.

One of the highlights of the hike is a visit to the historic Old Monastery of Saint Dionysios, beautifully hidden within the mountain landscape.

Continuing our journey, we hike to the peaceful Cave of Saint Dionysios, an inspiring spiritual site where the saint is believed to have lived in solitude.

The final section of the trail leads us through scenic forest paths to the welcoming Bountolas Mountain Refuge, peacefully located on the forested slopes of Olympus.

This experience perfectly combines nature, culture, spirituality, and adventure, offering an authentic way to discover the hidden side of Mount Olympus beyond the classic summit routes.
